WHO BUILDS THESE HOUSES?

Who actually builds these magnificent homes? When Zachary Fisher answers the question, he is quick to remind us that one individual can't possibly do it alone, and he immediately praises Bob Rosen and the people at Rosen Associates Management Corp. "Here is a team," Zachary will say, "that spends all the time and effort it takes to plan, design, and construct these houses, and they do it all without a fee."

Rear Admiral Robert A. Rosen, New York Naval Militia (NYNM) serves as President of the Fisher House Foundation, Inc. He and Zachary Fisher have been close friends for decades and are co-founders of the Fisher House program. One of Admiral Rosen's firms, Rosen Associates Management Corp., as construction consultants, acts as the developer of each Fisher House. They do all the work without charging a fee.

Robert A. Rosen is a real estate owner/developer/businessman and manager with nearly 40 years experience nationally. Additionally, he has served more than 31 years in the reserve forces of the United States, both as an Air Force and Naval Reserve officer, retiring with the rank of Navy Captain. In 1995, the Governor of New York appointed Rosen as Commander of the New York Naval Militia, with the rank of Rear Admiral (Upper Half). The New York Naval Militia is comprised of approximately 6,000 navy and marine corps active drilling reservists and volunteers. It is an integral part of the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs with a long history. It is a federally recognized command.

Additionally, Admiral Rosen is a trustee of the Intrepid Air-Sea-Space Museum, the U.S.O., the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation, Inc., and several other hospitals and universities.

He is a native New Yorker. He and his wife Florence have four children and five grandchildren.
